PATCH Expanding in Ohio

The gentle lion of the PATCH program has wandered into the Columbus, Ohio area to the good fortune of young people in need.
Nationwide Children’s Hospital, a leader in pediatric care for 117 years, received a PATCH check for $2,500. The Hospital has recently expanded its mission to include every child in the Greater Columbus community. In addition to providing a wide range of hospital-based services, Nationwide is taking their expertise beyond the walls of the hospital through a new initiative of wellness promotion. This program will help keep children out of the hospital, in accord with President Obama’s vision of providing actual health care, instead of just “sick care,” for our most vulnerable people.

Our friendly lion didn’t stop there when he travelled Ohio spreading hope. The Nisonger Center at The Ohio State University is a designated University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities. It conducts cutting-edge research in autism spectrum disorders and AD/HD disorders, and provides evaluation and recommendations for these children.
