IUPAT-DC6 is excited to announce the 2018 Community Day of Action will take place on Saturday, April 21st in various locations throughout District Council 6. This event brings thousands of IUPAT members together with open hands and hearts to give back and build strong communities.
STRONGSVILLE will be working faithfully with the Absolute House on Harvard Avenue in Cleveland to give the 3rd floor of their facility a fresh coat of paint! The Absolute house gives those recovering from addiction a safe place to live and receive treatment to get back into the workforce and become productive citizens. CINCINNATI has chosen to assist the Addiction Services Council on Vernon Manor Place in Cincinnati. Their vision is to help build a community both free of the abuse of alcohol and other drugs and advocate for the reduction of the stigma associated with alcoholism and other drug addiction by way of prevention, assessment, referral, treatment, education and advocacy services in the manner reflective of changing culture within their community. COLUMBUS is working closely with the Metropolitan Community Services T.O.U.C.H. Their mission is to “reach out and touch” the lives of individuals and families, empowering them to achieve self-sufficiency, positive relationships, and economic success.
