It was extremely unfortunate the IUPAT District Council 6 Picnic at Cedar Point couldn’t happen on June 7 as planned. As most of you know, the amusement park was closed all weekend due to a major water main break.
We began planning the event nearly six months ago and started encouraging people to save the date on their calendar in February. Since June 9, we have had numerous conversations with Cedar Point officials, but we were unable to reschedule an event for all our members to attend together. With limited available dates for the picnic areas and minimal hotel availability, especially on weekends, there just wasn’t a viable option for a group outing.
However, anyone who purchased tickets for the June 7 event has options to consider.
First, Cedar Point will honor the tickets you have for any day the park is open this year (Nov. 1). Parking passes and drink wrist bands labeled for June 7 will also be honored. And your tickets for the picnic area will be exchanged for passes to an all-you-can-eat buffet called the Midway Market.
All of these transactions must take place at the Cedar Point ticket window at the main gate.
If you are unable to reschedule a trip for your family, you can send the tickets back to the District Council 6 main office (8257 Dow Circle, Strongsville, OH 44136) and you will receive a full refund.
Again, it is unfortunate we could not get together for what was sure to be a fun day. We will probably try to put something together for next summer. Stay tuned for updates.
